April Wrap-Up | A Month of Reading and Music
There is only one month and three days until I am finished with my sophomore year of high school. That is kind of scary to think about. It does not feel like it’s been two years since I graduated from eighth grade. Like, where did the time go? At the same time though, last semester feels like it was so long ago. It’s weird. April was a busy month for me, with a lot going on. I got some good reading in though, which I’m happy about. BOOKS READ I had a pretty good reading month, with 5 months. However, I got my first DNF in a really long time.…

March Wrap-Up | In Which Time Went Slow and Fast
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. We are officially one-fourth of the way through the year! That is crazy to think about. And it has been over two years since the first COVID shutdown happened! That’s even crazier. It’s so weird to think that I started the pandemic as an eighth grader and now I’m in tenth grade, soon to be halfway done with high school. March was a super busy month for me, with a lot of stuff happening. I’ll talk about some of these later on, but for now, let’s get into what I read. The Benefits of Reading | Why I Love to Read and What I Learn From It
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today’s post was inspired by another post I wrote, an LTB post about book addicts vs. book lovers. One of the questions was “what are the merits of being one or the other?” and it got me thinking about all the merits of reading. In this post, I’ll be talking about why I love to read and what the benefits of reading are–what I get out of it and why it’s helpful. It’s fun Wow, what an obvious way to start. Yeah, I know. Hear me out. I feel like one of the reasons a lot of people–especially teenagers–don’t like to read…

February Wrap-Up | Mysteries, Confusing Weather, and a Lack of Free Time
I considered talking about how fast time has gone by, like I usually do, but for now, I’m not going to. Instead, we’ll focus on something else. This month was full of mysteries! I read mystery novels and watched a mystery TV show; there’s just a whole lot of mystery. BOOKS READ The Burning God (The Poppy War #3) by R.F. Kuang|📖|★★★★.5Wow, what a way to end a series. I can not believe how good this whole trilogy was. The Burning God was a thrilling and heartbreaking conclusion. The relationships were everything in this story. Rin and Kitay have my heart, the love they have for each other strengthening their…

January Wrap-Up | We’re Already a Month into 2022?
January is already over?! How? It literally just started. I refuse to believe that we are already into the month of February. But, we are, so I guess I’ll just have to accept it. For those who celebrate it, happy Lunar New Year! Today marks the first day of the celebration, as well as the first day of the Year of the Tiger. Let’s hope this year is better than the last two. BOOKS READ The Poppy War (The Poppy War #1) by R.F. Kuang|📖|★★★★.5I can’t believe I waited so long to read this. I absolutely loved this. The writing, the characters, the worldbuilding. The history and government was so…

December Wrap-Up | A Cold But Otherwise Okay End to the Year
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Happy New Year’s Eve! We are so close to 2022 and I can’t believe it. This is the last time I am going to say this: How did 2021 go by so fast? It’s like I blinked and the year was over. Are we ready for 2022? I don’t know. This is my last post of the year, which is kind of crazy, honestly. BOOKS READ I read 5 books which I’m happy about. I didn’t really stick to my TBR, but I read 2 out of 3 books that I planned to read this month, plus a couple others. The Nightingale…

November Wrap-Up | Lots of Reading and Time With Family and Friends
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. We are on to the last month of the year, can you believe it? 2022 is right around the corner, which is really shocking. I say this a lot, I know–you probably get tired of listening to me talk about it, but whatever. We’ll still talk about it. But for now, I’ll spare you that and instead of talking about the future, I’ll talk about the past: my wrap-up for November! BOOKS READ I managed to read 5 books this month, which I’m really happy about! I did not think that I would get to this many, but two of them I…

September & October Wrap-Up | Back From Hiatus, Blog Redesign, and New Blogging Schedule (maybe?)
Hello, hello, everyone! I am back! It’s been over a month since my last post and I’m happy to say that the break I took was really good for me. I was gone for a lot longer than I expected but school was taking up most of my time and I wasn’t feeling ready to come back yet. But I have returned and am excited to resume blogging! I’m going to be doing two months in this wrap up, as well as give you some updates about the blog, so let’s get into it! Oh and by the way, where did this year go? I know I say this in…

August Wrap-Up | School Started and I’m Exhausted
This month was exhausting. It was pretty good overall but so many things happened. I’ll talk a but more about what’s going on later in this post, but for now, let’s go through the past month. BOOKS READ I only managed to read 2 books this month, which is my lowest yet. These Violent Delights told me a long time to get through and I didn’t have that much time to read, unfortunately. And also, I did not stick to my TBR I was planning to do at all this month. These Violent Delights (These Violent Delights #1) by Chloe Gong|★★★★1/2I loved this book so much! All of my incredibly…
