November Wrap-Up | the end of the year is approaching fast
I literally forgot that wrap-ups were a thing. I was thinking about what post to put out today and I realized on Saturday that I hadn’t started a wrap-up post for November. Luckily, I was able to get this done on time. One more month until 2023! BOOKS READ The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh|π|β β β β This has those Spirited Away vibes, as it was pitched. The worldbuilding and relationships were my favorite part of the story. Mina and the trio were amazing, as well as Mina with Mask, Dai, and Miki. Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman|π|β β β β I’m not sure what I was expecting with these stories, but it…

October Wrap-Up | Concert, College, and Costume
It does not feel like it’s been a year since my last October wrap-up. I started writing this post and it hit me that it’s already been a year since the last one. I distinctly remember writing my October wrap-up for 2021. It was my first post after my hiatus and it was really long because I did two months for it. Time flies way too fast. BOOKS READ The Sunbearer Trials (The Sunbearer Duology #1) by Aiden Thomas|π|β β β β .5|my reviewThe Mexican-inspired world, the high stakes of the trials, the amazing characters and representation all combined to make a fantastic book. This is definitely my favorite book by Aiden Thomas! Gallant…

Let’s Talk Bookish: Do Book Titles Matter?
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I am very, very excited about some bookish things, mainly the fact that Rick Riordan is releasing two books in 2023! He’s writing a novel for Nico di Angelo, The Sun and the Star, and a novel for the original PJO trio that takes place after The Heroes of Olympus, called The Chalice of the Gods. I need to reread the PJO series and The Trials of Apollo, so I can remember everything. Maybe I’ll do a binge read over winter break. Moving on to today’s post! I am pretty sure this is the latest I have ever posted an LTB discussion.…

Let’s Talk Bookish: DNFing Books
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I know I’ve been a bit spotty in posting lately. I’m trying to make it more consistent but school has been eating up my time majorly. Today I have an LTB post, which is being posted a day late. Better late than never, right? Letβs Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Todayβs topic is DNFing Books (suggested by Mint @ Mint Loves Books). Prompts: DNF is an acronym that stands for did not finish. What makes you DNF a…

September Wrap-Up | School Has Taken Over my Life
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I don’t normally publish posts in the afternoon, but I was planning to have this up on Friday and that clearly didn’t happen. So I finished it up and am publishing it now. I can’t believe school has already been in session for almost two months. Things have been moving a lot quicker this year. Many events and projects have happened or been started much earlier than last year. It seems like we’re getting used to being in person again. Today I have my wrap-up for September. It was a busy month with school and I’ll be busy next month too since…

August Wrap-Up | School Starts and my Reading Plummets
This year just keeps flying by! We’re through eight months and I’m already in my fourth week of school. It’s been a bit difficult to adjust back to school, especially since I have to wake up at 6 am. We’ve only been learning for about two weeks (our first week was a lot of ‘get to know you’ things and simple stuff), but I’ve already had a few quizzes. I mean, it is junior year, so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. BOOKS READ Well, that number went down. In my defense, I went to summer camp at the beginning of August for five days and had literally no time to…

July Wrap-Up | Summer Break is Already Over?
I have exactly nine days until school starts. When did summer break become so short? This summer has flown by and I can’t believe that I’m beginning junior year next Tuesday. It’s crazy to think that I’m already halfway through high school. It feels like only yesterday that I was in online schooling freshman year. July was a pretty busy month for me so I didn’t get to read as much as I would’ve liked, but still got some decent reading in. Let’s go over what I read! BOOKS READ We Were Liars (We Were Liars #1) by E. Lockhart (reread)|π|β β β .5After rereading this, I realized some things that I didn’t…

June Wrap-Up | Pride and Permits, Books and Braces
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I hope everyone had a good Pride Month! I had a very busy first month of summer break, with lots of different things happening. Overall, June wasn’t a bad month. I got a lot of reading done and was able to stay on track for some academic-based stuff I’m working on. Let’s go over what I read! BOOKS READ The Ghosts We Keep by Mason Deaver|π|β β β β β I love how grief was explored. It highlights the fact that everyone experiences the loss of someone differently and how grief isn’t something that can be predicted. Liam’s journey after their brother’s death was messy and Mason…

May Wrap-Up | School is Out!
I am officially done with my sophomore year of high school! My last day was yesterday, ending with my chemistry final. I am really glad school is done, I am in desperate need of a break. And, now I have roughly two months until school starts again, so I am planning to make the most if it. For now, let’s get into my wrap-up for May! BOOKS READ When We Were Infinite by Kelly Loy Gilbert|π|β β β β I loved Kelly Loy Gilbert’s other novel, Picture Us in the Light, so I knew I had to read this one. I loved how the book centered on friendship and how the characters developed over…

Let’s Talk Bookish: Tracking Reading
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I have three days left of school, all of them finals, so that’s exciting and hard to believe. This school year went by way too quickly, and I will officially be an upperclassman starting in August. But now, onto today’s post! Letβs Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Todayβs topic is Tracking Reading (suggested by Aria). Do you keep track of the books you read? Yes! I started doing it a few weeks after I began blogging. Since I…
