Give a Book Tag
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m doing another book tag, the Give a Book Tag. I found out about this tag from Aster Marie @ Happy Bookish After, who did it a while ago, and immediately liked the concept of it. The tag was originally created by Katherine Zofrea on YouTube. While the giving season is usually thought of as the holidays, it’s never bad to be in the habit of giving. Let’s get into it! Give a book to make someone smile The House in the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune will fill your heart with a warm and fuzzy feeling. It’s about Linus, who…

Let’s Talk Bookish: Do Book Titles Matter?
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I am very, very excited about some bookish things, mainly the fact that Rick Riordan is releasing two books in 2023! He’s writing a novel for Nico di Angelo, The Sun and the Star, and a novel for the original PJO trio that takes place after The Heroes of Olympus, called The Chalice of the Gods. I need to reread the PJO series and The Trials of Apollo, so I can remember everything. Maybe I’ll do a binge read over winter break. Moving on to today’s post! I am pretty sure this is the latest I have ever posted an LTB discussion.…

16 Books for my 16th Birthday
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I have a very exciting post today! At some point this week (I’m not revealing my actual birthday), I turned 16! That’s scary, to be honest π¨ I thought it would be fun to talk about some books that got me into reading and ones that are important to me. I’m going in chronological order, as best I can, to see how I’ve grown as a reader. I’ll also be talking a bit about how my favorite genres came to be what they are. This list is starting when I was in elementary school. I didn’t add books I read when I…

16 Middle Grade Books for AAPI Month
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Canva is acting a bit strange for me at the moment, and downloading my featured images smaller than they’re supposed to. It’s quite obvious on my homepage, where a few of them are smaller than the others, and I’m not sure how exactly I’m supposed to fix it. The smaller ones also look slightly blurry. Anyways, enough of me babbling about technology problems. As I’m sure you all know, May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. I did a recommendations post like this last year, but I noticed most of them were YA books. I’ve read even more YA books…

The Eximius Blogger Award
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I am very, very excited because the role of Percy Jackson has officially been cast for the TV show! I was so, so happy when Rick Riordan announced this. And the kid is adorable! I could totally imagine him as Percy. I can’t wait for the casting of the other main characters. No matter how old I am when the show comes out, I am going to watch it. PJO was a major part of my childhood and I am very happy that it’s getting the film adaptation it deserves. Today I will be doing The Eximius Blogger Award, which was created…

8 Overlooked Books I Think Everyone Should Read
Hello, everyone! I hope youβre all doing well. Today I have a list of books I think everyone should read. Some of these books are aimed at younger kids, around middle grade (or even younger), but they have strong and powerful meanings behind them. They’re good lessons for anyone, regardless of age. Now, these books aren’t necessarily underrated or not popular (though some of them are) but I think they’re not as appreciated for the lessons they can teach people. They’re overlooked in that aspect. So without further ado, let’s get started! The Missing Piece of Charlie O’Reilly ~ Rebecca K.S. Ansari For a book published nearly two years ago,…

Top Ten Tuesday: Purple, Yellow, and Green Book Covers
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re doing well. Today, I’ll be doing another TTT. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits it. Today’s topic is Purple, Yellow and/or Green Book Covers (in honor of Mardi Gras). So I couldn’t find book covers that had all the colors together, so I decided to do a few book covers each with the primary color being one of the ones for our theme today. Muse of Nightmares (Strange the Dreamer #2) by Laini TaylorThe Crown (The Selection #5) by Kiera CassStarry River of…

Let’s Talk Bookish: What Makes a Book Beautiful?
Hey, everyone, happy Friday! I hope you’re doing well. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a Let’s Talk Bookish and I’m looking forward to this week’s topic. Letβs Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and is hosted by Rukky and Dani @ Literary Lion where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is What Makes a Book Beautiful? (suggested by Dani). What makes a book beautiful to you? In terms of book covers, I think there are a lot of different ways that a book can be beautiful. A lot of it depends on the colors. I think color…
