The Marvel Avengers Book Tag
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but I am a huge Marvel fan. I watched all the movies during quarantine (minus two of them which I still need to see and one that I didn’t watch because people say it’s bad) and have since become obsessed with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. So, when I found this tag, of course I wanted to do it! I don’t remember who I found it from and I haven’t been able to find the creator, but credit to whomever it is. Let’s get into it! *All GIFs link back to their sources. Iron Man: a book that made you laugh out loud All’s…

My Favorite Opening Lines in Books
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I am sharing some of my favorite opening lines from books I’ve read. Well, more like opening paragraphs. Most of the books I’m listing have the first two or so paragraphs. Still, they have the same role. First lines (and paragraphs) are one of the most important parts of writing a book. They’re the first things readers see and can influence a person’s interest. There are a lot of first lines that I’ve read but these stick out more than the rest. They’re very memorable. The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1) by Rick Riordan Look, I didn’t want…

Christmas Songs Book Tag
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I apologize for disappearing for two weeks. Final exams were last week and they definitely took their toll this year. Luckily, my last day was Thursday and I’m on winter break now, so I’ll have more time for blogging! I know Monday isn’t normally a day I post, but I’ve been gone, so I figured that I would go ahead and post this. I’m not doing Blogmas this year, but I still wanted to do a seasonal post for the holidays. So today I am doing the Christmas Songs Book Tag! And also ignoring all the other tags I have to do.…

Today’s topic is Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time. Percy Jackson by Rick RiordanThere’s nothing like reading Percy Jackson for the first time. Mid Year Book Freak Out Tag
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Can you believe it’s already mid-2021?! Cause I can’t. I swear 2021 only started a little while ago. I’ve seen a few variations of this tag and I couldn’t possibly answer all the prompts, so I did the ones that I wanted to talk about. General Books read: 28Reading goal: 28/75Average rating: 4.2Most read genre: Contemporary I am pretty behind on my reading goal, as you can see. I’ve never tracked my reading before, but now that I am, it’s actually a lot of fun. Making spreadsheets is very satisfying and it suits my liking of perfection. I’m kind of surprised that…

The 3 Bookish Things Tag
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I haven’t posted in a few days because I’ve been pretty busy with this geometry class I’m taking. I’ve learned that geometry is a lot of memorization. There’s so much stuff you have to remember. But enough talk about math. As you can see from the title of this post, today I have another tag. Thank you to Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for tagging me! 3 Read Once and Loved Authors Brigid Kemmerer – A Curse So Dark and Lonely was an amazing retelling of Beauty and the Beast and her writing is so good. Laini Taylor – I recently finished Strange…

Review: A Vow So Bold and Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re alll doing well. I am happy to say that I am officially on summer break now. My last day was on Friday and I’ve finished my first year of high school completely online. It was definitely weird, but I still had a fairly okay year. After reading the last line in A Heart So Fierce and Broken, I was so mad that I had to wait a whole year for the next one to come out. This book drove me insane. . . in a good way. Title: A Vow So Bold and DeadlyAuthor: Brigid KemmererGenre: Fantasy, Romance, Young AdultSeries: Cursebreakers #3Page Count: 408 Synopsis…

Let’s Talk Bookish: What Makes a Good Sequel?
Hey, everyone, happy Friday! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I have another Let’s Talk Bookish. I’m really excited for this topic, so let’s get into it. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and is hosted by Rukky and Dani @ Literary Lion where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is What Makes a Good Sequel? (suggested by M.T. Wilson @ The Last Book on the Left). For the first part of this topic, I’ll be listing what I think should be included in a good sequel, and then talking about each point. Then I’ll answer some of…

Review: A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer
I wasn’t planning to do two reviews back-to-back, but I have a few that I’d like to get posted, so here’s another review. I started reading this book with high hopes and expectations. I loved A Curse So Dark and Lonely, and I was really excited to read the second one. Sadly, A Heart So Fierce and Broken didn’t quite live up to what I had expected it to. Title: A Heart So Fierce and BrokenAuthor: Brigid KemmererGenre: Fantasy, Romance, Young AdultSeries: Cursebreakers #2Page Count: 450 Synopsis: (spoilers for previous book!) “Find the heir, win the crown. The curse is finally broken, but Prince Rhen of Emberfall faces darker troubles…
