Review Policy

CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR REVIEW REQUESTS


Hi, welcome to my blog! Thank you for your interest in possibly working with me here at Pages of Starlight. Before contacting me, please read through my review policy to make sure that my blog is the best fit for your book. 

Requirements/General Information

  • Must be Young Adult or Middle Grade
  • Must be diverse and/or by marginalized author
  • All reviews are free of charge

Genre Preferences

Genres I will accept:

  • Fantasy
  • Contemporary/Realistic
  • Historical Fiction
  • Mystery
  • Romance

Genres I will not accept:

  • Horror
  • Erotica
  • Religion
  • Nonfiction

Any genre that is not listed I will consider, but there is no guarantee that I will accept it. 

Format Preferences

Formats I will accept: (currently only accepting printed books)

  • Printed/Physical Copy
  • Printed/Physical ARCs

If Your Book Gets Accepted

If you send me a book, I will do my best to read it as soon as I can and review it as close to your desired date. Please keep in mind that blogging is a hobby and I am a current high school student with other commitments, so I don’t have unlimited time. My personal/school life will come first. I will aim to complete the review within six weeks after receiving the book.

It is possible that I will read your book but not like it. I will write a review and it will be my honest opinion; however it may be critical or negative. There may also be times when I don’t like a book and will not finish it. In this case, I will let you know and won’t post a review or rating. However, I may talk about it on my blog later on.

I reserve the right to say no to a review request; please do not expect an explanation if this happens. Everything I accept is on a case-by-case basis.

Please include the following in your request:

  • Title
  • Author
  • Genre
  • Synopsis
  • Page Count
  • Release Date (if sending me an advance copy)
  • Review date deadline
  • Content warnings
