September Wrap-Up | School Has Taken Over my Life
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I don’t normally publish posts in the afternoon, but I was planning to have this up on Friday and that clearly didn’t happen. So I finished it up and am publishing it now. I can’t believe school has already been in session for almost two months. Things have been moving a lot quicker this year. Many events and projects have happened or been started much earlier than last year. It seems like we’re getting used to being in person again. Today I have my wrap-up for September. It was a busy month with school and I’ll be busy next month too since…

August Wrap-Up | School Starts and my Reading Plummets
This year just keeps flying by! We’re through eight months and I’m already in my fourth week of school. It’s been a bit difficult to adjust back to school, especially since I have to wake up at 6 am. We’ve only been learning for about two weeks (our first week was a lot of ‘get to know you’ things and simple stuff), but I’ve already had a few quizzes. I mean, it is junior year, so maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. BOOKS READ Well, that number went down. In my defense, I went to summer camp at the beginning of August for five days and had literally no time to…

July Wrap-Up | Summer Break is Already Over?
I have exactly nine days until school starts. When did summer break become so short? This summer has flown by and I can’t believe that I’m beginning junior year next Tuesday. It’s crazy to think that I’m already halfway through high school. It feels like only yesterday that I was in online schooling freshman year. July was a pretty busy month for me so I didn’t get to read as much as I would’ve liked, but still got some decent reading in. Let’s go over what I read! BOOKS READ We Were Liars (We Were Liars #1) by E. Lockhart (reread)|π|β β β .5After rereading this, I realized some things that I didn’t…

June Wrap-Up | Pride and Permits, Books and Braces
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I hope everyone had a good Pride Month! I had a very busy first month of summer break, with lots of different things happening. Overall, June wasn’t a bad month. I got a lot of reading done and was able to stay on track for some academic-based stuff I’m working on. Let’s go over what I read! BOOKS READ The Ghosts We Keep by Mason Deaver|π|β β β β β I love how grief was explored. It highlights the fact that everyone experiences the loss of someone differently and how grief isn’t something that can be predicted. Liam’s journey after their brother’s death was messy and Mason…

May Wrap-Up | School is Out!
I am officially done with my sophomore year of high school! My last day was yesterday, ending with my chemistry final. I am really glad school is done, I am in desperate need of a break. And, now I have roughly two months until school starts again, so I am planning to make the most if it. For now, let’s get into my wrap-up for May! BOOKS READ When We Were Infinite by Kelly Loy Gilbert|π|β β β β I loved Kelly Loy Gilbert’s other novel, Picture Us in the Light, so I knew I had to read this one. I loved how the book centered on friendship and how the characters developed over…

April Wrap-Up | A Month of Reading and Music
There is only one month and three days until I am finished with my sophomore year of high school. That is kind of scary to think about. It does not feel like it’s been two years since I graduated from eighth grade. Like, where did the time go? At the same time though, last semester feels like it was so long ago. It’s weird. April was a busy month for me, with a lot going on. I got some good reading in though, which I’m happy about. BOOKS READ I had a pretty good reading month, with 5 months. However, I got my first DNF in a really long time.…

March Wrap-Up | In Which Time Went Slow and Fast
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. We are officially one-fourth of the way through the year! That is crazy to think about. And it has been over two years since the first COVID shutdown happened! That’s even crazier. It’s so weird to think that I started the pandemic as an eighth grader and now I’m in tenth grade, soon to be halfway done with high school. March was a super busy month for me, with a lot of stuff happening. I’ll talk about some of these later on, but for now, let’s get into what I read. BOOKS READ Counting Down with You by Tashie Bhuiyan|π±|β β β β .5|my reviewI have…

February Wrap-Up | Mysteries, Confusing Weather, and a Lack of Free Time
I considered talking about how fast time has gone by, like I usually do, but for now, I’m not going to. Instead, we’ll focus on something else. This month was full of mysteries! I read mystery novels and watched a mystery TV show; there’s just a whole lot of mystery. BOOKS READ The Burning God (The Poppy War #3) by R.F. Kuang|π|β β β β .5Wow, what a way to end a series. I can not believe how good this whole trilogy was. The Burning God was a thrilling and heartbreaking conclusion. The relationships were everything in this story. Rin and Kitay have my heart, the love they have for each other strengthening their…

January Wrap-Up | We’re Already a Month into 2022?
January is already over?! How? It literally just started. I refuse to believe that we are already into the month of February. But, we are, so I guess I’ll just have to accept it. For those who celebrate it, happy Lunar New Year! Today marks the first day of the celebration, as well as the first day of the Year of the Tiger. Let’s hope this year is better than the last two. BOOKS READ The Poppy War (The Poppy War #1) by R.F. Kuang|π|β β β β .5I can’t believe I waited so long to read this. I absolutely loved this. The writing, the characters, the worldbuilding. The history and government was so…
