    My Two-Year Blogiversary!

Two years ago, I published my very first post on this site. It changed my life. I honestly can not believe it has been two, whole years since I started my blog. Pages of Starlight has evolved and changed a lot since I started it in December of 2020. It was during the peak of COVID and I was in the middle of my freshman year of high school, which was online and not very entertaining. There were also personal things in my life that weren’t going well. I wanted to be able to focus on something other than the world around me. So I created this blog to focus…

My One Year Blogiversary! | Reflections and Gratitudes

Three hundred and sixty-nine days ago (yes, I know I’m late), I pressed ‘publish’ on my very first blog post. It wasn’t a lot–just an introduction to my blog and a little bit about myself. Hello everyone. Welcome to Pages of Starlight. I thought I’d take a quick opportunity to talk a little about myself and the blog. My name is Lotus and I love reading and the creative arts, specifically photography and writing. I’m a young teen with a love for fantasy, mystery, and historical fiction novels. I wanted a place to share my thoughts and adventures about them, so I created this blog. The name ‘Pages of Starlight’…

Get to Know Me From A to Z | 100 Followers Special!

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I have my 100 followers special post, an A to Z of me. I know I’ve already said this, but thank you so much for 100 followers! I truly appreciate each and every one of you. This idea is not original; I’ve seen this on various blogs, the first one being Asic’s, as well as Rachel’s blog and Riddhi’s blog. It looked like a lot of fun, so I added it in as a possible post idea and here it is now. A – Ambivert – I’m definitely more on the introverted side but I’m not completely an introvert. I’m shy…

A (Very Late) Birthday Book Haul | I Got 6 New Books!

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I was planning to do this post earlier, closer to my actual birthday, but I was still on break then, so I thought I’d do it now. Also, kind of off topic, but this is the 100th post! It’s crazy to think that I’ve written so many posts. Anyways, back to the post. . . I turned fifteen, which is kind of hard to believe. Only one more year until I can drive 😧 I am very much not ready for that. I got quite a few new books and I’m so grateful that I got all of them. I talked about…

    Hiatus Annoucement

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’m just popping on her quickly to tell you that I’ve decided to take a short hiatus. Recently, I’ve kind of lost the energy to complete posts, so I thought it would be a good idea to take a break. I’ll most likely be back sometime near the beginning of October, but I might extend it, depending on how I’m feeling and how school is going. I don’t want to completely disappear from the blogosphere, so I’ll still be reading your blog posts and having some interaction with you all. I’m not sure what else to say in this post, so I…

6 Month Blogiversary // The Book Blogging Firsts Tag + Feedback Form

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Guess what? 6 months ago, I started this blog! It’s crazy to think about—that half a year has already gone by. Even in the midst of a pandemic, where you’d think time would feel slower, it seems to fly by at the same rate, maybe even faster. First of all, I just wanted to say that I really appreciate everyone who has supported me and my blog; it means the world to me to know that people enjoy coming and reading my posts. I couldn’t have continued blogging without all of you! Today, I’m going to be reflecting a bit on the…
