Photography Dump | chicago, nature, and skies

Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Over the past year, I’ve taken a lot of photos, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you. This post doesn’t have any particular theme–it’s just a collection of photos I like, under three different categories.

These first three are from the music trip I took last year to Chicago. We went to the Navy Pier–where I took the Ferris wheel photo–and the Bean. It was cold the day we went to Navy Pier, but the Ferris wheel was a lot of fun to go on; the view from it was amazing. It was so cool to be under the Bean and look up at the reflection it made. I love how my photo turned out; the buildings in the reflection give it a cool effect. The other photo is the parking lot of the place we performed at. I love how dramatic it looks.

This next set is from a variety of hikes I’ve done in the past year. I love taking landscape photos and close-up photos of wildlife. I think my favorite one of the flowers is the second one; I love how three different types of flowers are present, adding so much color and variety.

The last set is a bunch of pictures that I’ve taken of the sky. I absolutely love taking sunset or sunrise photos; they’re always so pretty. The photo with the all black background was during an eclipse. I had this special filter to go over my camera lens so I could take the picture. My favorite is definitely the fourth photo; I took it when I was at a band competition, and I literally can’t believe the sky looked like that. I also love the last photo. It was in the morning, probably at around 7am when I was getting ready for school. The purple to orange ombre is so pretty.

Those are all the photos I have! I’m hoping to have photography posts at least once a month. Maybe I’ll start doing like a β€œmy month in photos” kind of thing, I don’t know. What do you think?

Do you enjoy taking photos? What’s your favorite thing to photograph?
