January Wrap-Up | i actually stuck to a schedule? shocking
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. We are officially a month into 2024, which I find extremely hard to believe. But I say that pretty much every time I do a monthly wrap-up, so what else is new? I am back with my regular wrap-up for the month, minus the goals category. I’m going to stop doing those for a little while; I always set the same goals, and more often than not, I wouldn’t complete them. I may bring them back later, but I’m stopping them for now. BOOKS READ Warrior Girl Unearthed by Angeline Boulley|🎧|★★★★★First book of the year, and it’s a five-star read! I would…

Photography Dump | chicago, nature, and skies
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Over the past year, I’ve taken a lot of photos, so I thought I’d share some of my favorites with you. This post doesn’t have any particular theme–it’s just a collection of photos I like, under three different categories. These first three are from the music trip I took last year to Chicago. We went to the Navy Pier–where I took the Ferris wheel photo–and the Bean. It was cold the day we went to Navy Pier, but the Ferris wheel was a lot of fun to go on; the view from it was amazing. It was so cool to be under…

Let’s Talk Bookish: Seeing the Real World Through Books
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I have an LTB post today, which is the only time I’ll be posting on a day that’s not Monday. I figured that since I don’t do LTB every week, having a couple of Friday posts won’t stress me out too much. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits, where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is Seeing the Real World Through Books. Prompts: Many fiction books have messages about social issues, current events, and more. Some are underlying themes, and others are much…

Review: Warrior Girl Unearthed by Angeline Boulley
I think Angeline Boulley has installed herself as one of my favorite authors. I’ve now read two books by her, and both of them were phenomenal. How does she do it? Today I have a review for the book I most recently finished, Warrior Girl Unearthed. I’m very happy that I started my year off with this book (well, technically I started it last year, but I only just finished it). It was a fantastic read and it sets a promising feel for the rest of this year’s reading. Title: Warrior Girl UnearthedAuthor: Angeline BoulleyGenre: YA MysterySeries: None (It would be helpful to read Firekeeper’s Daughter before WGU, but it…

My Favorite Reads of 2023
Hey, everyone! It’s that time of the year again, where I get to obsess over my favorite books from the last twelve months. I only read 39 books last year, which is much less than the amount I read in 2022, but we’re just going to go with it. I usually do my top ten favorite reads, but I don’t think I have enough books that I truly enjoyed to make up ten. My average rating was 3.94, dropping from the 4.16 average rating I had in 2022. So, this post will consist of only seven books. #7: The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys “Truth breaks the chains of…

I’m Back!! | Life Update/2023 Wrap-Up
Hey, everyone!! I am back! I know it’s been an extremely long time; I didn’t mean to disappear for ten months but life got busy, and blogging took a seat on the back burner. I was having a bit of blogging burnout in March. I stopped to focus on school, but then I was booked up for nearly the whole summer, then senior year started, which doesn’t really need an explanation, and now we’re here. So, a little life update. Here’s a quick rundown of the major things that have happened since last March and how my life is going now: Last school year:✈️ I went to Chicago for a…
