July Wrap-Up | Summer Break is Already Over?
I have exactly nine days until school starts. When did summer break become so short? This summer has flown by and I can’t believe that I’m beginning junior year next Tuesday. It’s crazy to think that I’m already halfway through high school. It feels like only yesterday that I was in online schooling freshman year. July was a pretty busy month for me so I didn’t get to read as much as I would’ve liked, but still got some decent reading in. Let’s go over what I read! BOOKS READ We Were Liars (We Were Liars #1) by E. Lockhart (reread)|📖|★★★.5After rereading this, I realized some things that I didn’t…

Let’s Talk Bookish: What Book Format Do You Prefer?
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. It’s been a bit of a long week, with a lot going on, so I’m glad I can just rest today and tomorrow. Today, I’m doing another LTB post. This week is a Chose Your Own Adventure, where you can write about what you want or answer a prompt you missed. Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and hosted by Aria @ Book Nook Bits where we discuss various topics and share our opinions. Today’s topic is What Book Format Do You Prefer? (prompt 2 weeks ago). Prompts: What’s your favorite reading format? Hardback? Paperback?…

A Week in the Sierra Nevada
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’m sharing photos I took from my trip to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. This past week, I spent camping with my mom, aunt, and uncle. We had a lot of fun, despite a few mishaps. Let’s get into it! FRIDAY Our first day was a bit of a mess. My mom and I drove up to our campground, which was just inside Yosemite. We had never been to this campground before–the one we usually stay at was under renovation. We had the smallest site in the whole campground and my aunt and uncle still had to come up too. It wouldn’t…

Mid-Month July 2022 Camp NaNoWriMo Check In
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. For the past couple weeks, I have been participating in July Camp NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). I thought it would be fun to do a mid-month check in to see where I’m at so far and maybe set some goals for the rest of the month. How’s it going so far For those of you don’t know what I’m working on, I’m writing draft 4 of my current WIP, Of Moonflowers and Myths. I talked about it in my Pretty Deadly Words #2 post, which has a lot of details about it. I haven’t participated in a NaNoWriMo challenge since last…

My Favorite Book-to-Film Adaptations (And Books I Would Love to See Adapted)
There are a lot of book-to-film adaptations out there in the film industry. A lot. And some of them are. . . well, to put it nicely, not the best. In a Let’s Talk Bookish post I did a little while ago on book-to-film adaptations, I listed some of the ones I enjoyed, and then realized that there are a lot more than I thought. So, I am telling you all my favorites! Most of the list will be movies but there are some TV shows sprinkled in there. So, let’s get started! Something to note: I’ve seen a lot more book-to-film adaptations that I loved than are on this…

My Favorite Quotes From Books | Part 2
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I’ve been pretty busy with Camp NaNoWriMo, so I haven’t had as much time to work on posts. But I’m trying to keep them as balanced as possible. Today, I’m doing part two of my favorite quotes from books. I did the first post back in January, after being inspired by a conversation I had with a friend. I realized a little while ago that I never followed up. Click here to read part one. *Goodreads pages are linked through the images. I think a lot of people could relate to this quote. It’s fun to dream about something you want or…

Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases for the 2nd Half of 2022
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today’s post is later than when I normally post, but I didn’t have time yesterday, so I finished it this morning. It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these. The last time I did a TTT was in March. But I always like doing anticipated releases posts, so I thought I’d participate in this one. I have a lot of books I’m looking forward to releasing in the next few months. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits it. Today’s topic…

2022 Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag
It is that time of the year again! How? I do not know. Can someone please explain to me how the passage of time is so weird? I am back with a book blogging community staple: the Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag. I did this last year and had a lot of fun with it. There’s a few variations of this tag out there, with a bunch of prompts, so I normally go with the ones that I have answers to. General Books read: 32Reading goal: 32/60Average rating: 4.2Most-read genre: Fantasy I am ahead on my reading goal! Just barely. Last year, I was severely behind, but I’m doing pretty…

June Wrap-Up | Pride and Permits, Books and Braces
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I hope everyone had a good Pride Month! I had a very busy first month of summer break, with lots of different things happening. Overall, June wasn’t a bad month. I got a lot of reading done and was able to stay on track for some academic-based stuff I’m working on. Let’s go over what I read! BOOKS READ The Ghosts We Keep by Mason Deaver|📖|★★★★★I love how grief was explored. It highlights the fact that everyone experiences the loss of someone differently and how grief isn’t something that can be predicted. Liam’s journey after their brother’s death was messy and Mason…
