My Favorite Quotes From Books | aka things characters said that pull at my heartstrings
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Sorry for not posting yesterday, none of my posts were close to being done because school got in the way of everything. But then I got a great idea for a different post and immediately started working on it. I was talking to a family friend the other day and she was looking for quotes on happiness. I will admit, the majority of quotes I note down aren’t exactly happy. They’re either very sad or very deep and emotional, often centering around a theme of the book. That conversation gave me the idea for this post! I will be listing some of…

Double Review: We Are Not Free by Traci Chee and The Awakening Storm by Jaimal Yogis & Vivian Truong | A Heartfelt Story of WW2 and an Entertaining MG Fantasy
Hey, everyone! It’s the first review of 2022! I haven’t done a book review in little while; I noticed that I’ve started doing fewer reviews because I’ve discovered so many other book-related posts in the year I’ve been blogging. But book reviews are still pretty much the core of my blog. Today, I’ll be reviewing two books: We Are Not Free by Traci Chee and The Awakening Storm by Jaimal Yogis and Vivian Truong. The books are very different from each other, with the first being a historical fiction about the Japanese incarceration camps, while the latter is a fantasy involving dragons and unpredictable villains. I’m reviewing We Are Not…

A Hike to the Falls
I was planning to have photography be a monthly thing, but seeing that my last photography post was in April 2021, that clearly didn’t happen. I just didn’t go to many places that I deemed picture-taking worthy. Or I forgot to bring something to take pictures with. Anyhow, I finally have some pictures to share! I went on a hike with my mom and a friend of ours to see the waterfalls during winter break. It was a great day to go hiking because it was cool out so we didn’t get tired from the heat. The only slight problem was that it had rained earlier in the week, so…

My Favorite Reads of 2021
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Today I am talking about my favorite books that I read in 2021. Last year, I read a total of 53 books, which was nowhere near my goal, but I’m still okay with the amount I read. For this post, I have my top ten favorite reads. And to make it harder on myself, I ranked them; we’ll be going in reverse order, starting with number ten! #10: Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales “I was with them and they were with me and we were with each other. A community within a community within a community. No questions asked. No proof…

Top Ten Tuesday: Most Anticipated Releases For the First Half of 2022
Happy new year, everyone! The weird and sucky year that was 2021 is now gone; let’s hope 2022 will be better 🤞 Honestly, it doesn’t feel like the new year–it’s just any other day. My brain thinks so too; I will be writing 2021 as the date for at least the next month before it catches up and realizes we’ve moved on to a different year. Okay, enough talking about the year. Welcome to the first post of the year! (I did it again, didn’t I?) Today we’re talking about book releases for 2022. There are so many great books coming out this year that I want to read, it’s…
