The 3 Bookish Things Tag
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. I haven’t posted in a few days because I’ve been pretty busy with this geometry class I’m taking. I’ve learned that geometry is a lot of memorization. There’s so much stuff you have to remember.
But enough talk about math. As you can see from the title of this post, today I have another tag. Thank you to Riddhi @ Whispering Stories for tagging me!
3 Read Once and Loved Authors
- Brigid Kemmerer – A Curse So Dark and Lonely was an amazing retelling of Beauty and the Beast and her writing is so good.
- Laini Taylor – I recently finished Strange the Dreamer and it was so good! The writing was incredible and the worldbuilding was so imaginative.
- Erin Morgenstern – The Starless Sea was written so well, with lyrical and poetic language. I loved the worldbuilding as well.
3 Titles I’ve Watched But Not Read
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before – Pretty good, I’m probably not going to read the books though.
- The Secret Garden – I watched this a long time ago, but I remember really enjoying this movie.
- Rebecca – I loved this movie, but the housekeeper lady was really creepy.
3 Series I Have Binged
- Song of the Lioness – I’ve listened to the first book on audio so many times. I love this series and Alanna is an amazing character.
- Across the Universe – This was one of the most science fiction series I read, and I really liked it. I think I’m starting to like that genre more.
- The Books of Beginning – I read this series when I was in middle school after I had some oral surgery and I blew through these books really quickly.
3 Characters I Love
Only three?! How can I possibly answer this question correctly? Okay, let’s see. . .
Art by Ludmila-Cera-Foce Art by daekazu Art by Abremson
- Hermione Granger from Harry Potter – Of course Hermione is in here. Brave, intelligent, resilient, and “the brightest witch of her age.”
- Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables – Anne is always going to be a favorite character of mine. With her huge imagination and habits of taking everyone’s heads off, she’s such a fun character.
- Liesel from The Book Thief – I love Liesel as well
(duh, it’s under the characters I love category). The Book Thief is one of my favorites and Liesel is just a great character. She’s calm and really understands people in a different perspective than most.
3 Current Favorite Covers
These are all on my TBR and I think they have gorgeous covers.
3 Things You Have Used as Bookmarks
- An actual bookmark, I like the magnet ones a lot since they don’t bend if you stuff your book in a bag or something
- Random pieces of paper are always useful
- My finger which promptly lost the spot in my book
3 Favorite Authors
Again, how can I only name three? Okay, we’re going to break some rules here. Stacey Lee, Tamora Pierce, Rick Riordan, Brigid Kemmerer, and Erin Morgenstern are all amazing authors.
3 Unpopular Bookish Opinions
- Audiobooks DO count as reading
- I have no interest in reading the Twilight series
- I liked Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It wasn’t great, but it was still enjoyable.
3 Book Goals for the Year
I’m breaking the rules again because I can only think of two.
- Read at least 75 books (I am pretty behind on this)
- Read outside my normal genres, those mainly being fantasy and historical fiction
I Tag:
- Saniya @ Sunnyside Reviews
- Azu @ The Bookish Crusade
- Brooke @ The Reader’s Game
- Asic @ Haven
- Emily @ Frappes and Fiction
How are you doing today? What are some book goals you have for this year?

Lotus, I really admire and respect your choices! Liesel from the Book Thief is one of my favorite characters too. I recall one of your Mom’s all time favorites was Anne from Anne of Green Gables. It is fun to see how your taste in books vary from the supernatural, out of this world to the simplest of settings. I think this demonstrates a great intellect!
Lotus @ Pages of Starlight
