Top Ten Tuesday: Places in Books I’d Love to Live
Hey, everyone! I hope you’re doing well. I’m really excited about today’s topic; I always fantasize about living in fictional worlds and now I get to talk about them!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits it. Today’s topic is Places in Books I’d Love to Live.
Hogwarts ~ Harry Potter
Who wouldn’t want to live at Hogwarts? It would be amazing! And really dangerous. Just imagine: the common rooms, the quidditch pitch, the Great Hall, Hogsmeade. Just everything about the Wizarding World universe would be incredible to live in.
Nevermoor ~ Nevermoor Series
The world of Nevermoor sounds absolutely amazing. I’d like to be able to float down from the top of buildings with an umbrella and not fall to my death. And the Wundrous Society sounds pretty awesome as well. Riding on the brolly rail seems really terrifying because you could potentially kill or injure yourself getting off, but it also sounds like a lot of fun to whiz around the city, just holding onto an umbrella handle and praying that it doesn’t come unattached from its hook. I’d also like to meet the characters in the Nevermoor books, especially Jupiter and Fenestra, they’re my favorite characters because they’re both very funny.
Avonlea ~ Anne of Green Gables
I’m a fan of Anne of Green Gables and Avonlea just seems like such a beautiful place to live. While I wouldn’t be able to meet the fictional characters, I’d still be able to see what their childhood town was like.
Tortall ~ Song of the Lioness
The Tortall universe seems like a really cool place to live. You can learn magic and fighting, how to become a knight (though not that I’d want to), and just explore the cities and places where all these fictional characters live.
Seven Kingdoms ~ Graceling Realm
The Seven Kingdoms actually seems pretty dangerous, but it would be really cool to have a Grace. And besides the fact that a bunch of the government and politics part of the world are so complicated and a bunch of the leaders get kicked or something, it would still be pretty cool.
Camp Half-Blood ~ Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Who wouldn’t want to go live at Camp Half-Blood? I mean, seriously? The cabins would be so cool to look at in person, with each decorated so distinctly as their godly parent. And of course everything else in the camp would be amazing to see in real life. Though I would probably avoid the rock climbing wall, seeing as there’s lava that usually pours down it when you’re on it. That’s the whole point. Yes, I know.
Land of Stories ~ Land of Stories Series
The Land of Stories is literally pure fairytales, what’s not to like? I loved this series when I was younger and the world that Alex and Conner fall into looks pretty awesome. And if I could simply have a magic potion that will transport me into any book I want, I’d really like to have that please.
New York ~ The Starless Sea
The New York set in The Starless Sea has the whole world of the books and stories underneath it and I would totally want to live in it. I loved the story and everything connecting was so fascinating.
Alexandriaville ~ Mr. Lemoncello’s Library
I really want to go the library in this book. I feel like I could stay there for hours, just exploring the humungous space, filled with books and other literary things. I might not want to live there, seeing as how Kyle and the rest of the group had to solve a bunch of puzzles to get out, but I think it would so cool to get to visit it at least. Maybe I’ll just live in Alexandriaville, so I can go to the library as often as I want.
Wherever The Ever Afters Series Takes Place
I have no idea where The Ever Afters series takes place, but I would totally want to live there. You get to star in your own fairytale! I really enjoyed this series and the fact that fairytales are real and you can be in them just by getting into an after-school program is pretty awesome.
What do you think of my choices? Any places you would like to visit?

Tortall is such a good addition, I was debating adding it to my list too! I also had Hogwarts on my list! Great list, I like how most of the picks are fictional!

Even though it is not a fantasy land, Colorado is lovely anytime.

Yes, it is. π

I chose to focus on real places for my list today, otherwise I definitely would have chosen the Wizarding World/Hogwarts. Avonlea would also be lovely. I did mention Prince Edward Island in my list since it looks and sounds so amazingly beautiful!
Happy TTT!

Hogwarts would be amazing, no question- all those little nooks to explore- and Avonlea honestly sounds wonderful too even though I’ve never read those.
Ever afters world looks great.
